November 20: Transgender Day of Remembrance
Starting in 2011, NSRAP is proud to host Halifax’s Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) ceremony. Previously hosted by Safe Harbour Metropolitan Community Church, TDOR is a time to memorialize those who were killed due to transphobic hate and prejudice.
A service will be held at Veith House (3115 Veith St). Doors will open to the public at 6:30 with the event beginning at 7 and lasting until 8:30. Following the close of the service, there will be an hour for socializing and sharing personal stories.
You can RSVP via Facebook or contact nsrap@nsrap.ca for more information.
