IDAHoT Committee

May 17 is the International Day Against Homophobia & Transphobia (IDAHoT). NSRAP has been actively engaged in promoting educational events and political activism on May 17 since 2006. The first rally in Halifax’s Grand Parade took place in 2007. In 2008 NSRAP partcipated in a demonstration in Pictou, opposing the Municipality of Pictou County’s homophobic flag policy. NSRAP collaborates with LGBT organizations and human rights groups, as well as with interested members of our community.
