Annual General Meetings
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Nova Scotia Rainbow Action Project Society is held within 3 months of the ending of the fiscal year on March 31st. The AGM is open to all members of the community; however only active members of NSRAP are permitted to vote. The meeting includes a report on the society’s activities over the previous 12 months, a financial report from the Treasurer, and the election of the Board of Directors for the coming year.
On Sunday, May 24, 2015 the Nova Scotia Rainbow Action Project (NSRAP) will hold its Annual General Meeting at 2 p.m. at Dalhousie’s Schulich School of Law (Room 304/305, 6061 University Avenue, Halifax). Following the AGM, there will be a community conversation on inclusion within LGBTQ communities in Nova Scotia.
During the AGM, our current Board of Directors will present NSRAP’s annual report and financial statements. As well, a new Board for 2015-2016 will be elected. If possible, we ask that you please review the minutes from last year’s AGM (posted below).
All current members are invited to attend. Please remember that in order to vote, you must have renewed your membership or joined NSRAP in the past 12 months. (See below for instructions on how to do so.)
Following the formal AGM, we will host a conversation on race, history, and inclusion in the province’s LGBTQ communities. This discussion will be facilitated by Robert Wright, a Registered Social Worker who is a consultant and therapist.
The agenda for the day is planned as follows:
- 1:45 p.m. Doors open
- 2:00 p.m. AGM called to order
- 2:45 p.m. AGM adjourns, followed by a brief break
- 3:00 p.m. Community conversation
- 4:30 p.m. Closing remarks
PLEASE NOTE: This event is scent-free out of respect for those with allergies and environmental sensitivities. This meeting space is wheelchair accessible with access to a gender neutral washroom.
